But what happens in the situation where some goes into the back of you and pushes you into the car in front, could they argue that you werent the correct distance away and the car in front claim off?

I hope I'm never in a situation where I need to know these things but wud be helpful to know!

i spose they could do but if the middle car was pushed into the front car again by the next rear impact its probably gonna do more damage aint it??? i dunno!!!! X( :D i'd claim off the last car into the crash for making the other cars worse off than there were.

Accidents can be so complicated, doubt no two crashs are the same, blame can prob be placed anywhere!

^lolol

I spoke to the guy in front of me.. he said that he's sorted his damage out. I asked him if he was sure he didn't want my insurance details and he assured me he didn't.. so at least he's not making a claim off me

Spoke to my body shop and they're doing the estimate today ready to send to Frizzell

I guess I'll be weighing up what options [if any] I have when I get the estimate.. maybe then I'll have to contact the police??

in the meantime, my terribly distressing and traumatising case of whiplash has left me home bound playing GTA4 & Gran Tourismo all day, w00t

gutted for you man, had a back ender myself just before xmas where someone went into me doing about 20 at a dual crriageway roundabout cos they didnt stop in time, if i didnt have my foot on the brake pedal would have ended up being shunted into an 18 wheeler too. Totally not my fault and didnt look that bad but the who,e boot floor was caved in, came to within a few quid of being written off at a repair bill of 2k, only the garage boss pushing it through at my will to have it repaired saved my escort.

When he said to me its a write off i was like :O dont even look that bad. Damage is very decieving. Hope yours didnt come off to bad mate and get that girls details if you can. Good luck !

You got any pics mate must of been as bad as mine if they said the cost was about 2K thats what mine cost had to have a whole rear floor and they had to jig the rear straight again as it was twisted a bit.

13k!?! bloody hell what was the motor ?

As for my motor i dont have any pics im afraid mr tom, although the damage was like yours. They had to do some work on the boot floor, pull the whole back end out with a jig, new tailgate/rear bumper, new exhaust backbox and new heatshield (which i had to buy myself) even though it had been shunted forward and ripped off in the crash, had some sore words with the insurance man but thats another story. :curse:

Anyway all that done and backend resprayed, good as new. Did you get yours fixed ?

My stationary BMW was rammed from behind and pushed 3 feet forward into the car in front - the person who rear-ended the BMW had to pay for all the damage - £3,500 just for the BMW.

sorry to hear bout it all dude,

as for the Clio girl, are there any CCTV cameras or anything (belonging to shops, cafe's anywhere really) pointing in the general direction???

secondly i just have to have my say on your car:

there is absloutely no way in hell that car is a write off from the front end!!!!!!

i mean you will deffo need a new slam panel, maybe a new crossmember but that dont look touched.

(£200 ish will get you slam panel, crossmember, light mounting points all in one panel)

then straighten (if any damage) the inner wing, its right on the end so no worries there,

then new outer wing, headlight, bonnet, grill, bumper, bonnet hinges and not a lot else. (ALL THAT HAD TO BE DONE ON MINE)

quite_dead_really.jpg

and i had this on my 1300 (which only neede the slam panel twisting back)

old_scort.jpg

as for the rear i cant see it too great form the pics, but my mate had a worse looking shunt from behind in his mk6 and no probs, just a bit o 'jiggin' to make sure it was straight

mine had to go on the Jig for the front end,

but if i were you i would take it somewhere else to get it looked at first m8

**just my thoughts tho**

Rob.
