Just a quick one what is the best size tyres to get on 16's and 17's?

16s = 205/45 R16

17s = 205/40 R17

 

Although some people have 195/45 for 16s

depends on the width of the wheel, if you get 8x16 like escort cos wheels then get some 235/35/16

Like plumber already mentioned. Depends how wide the rim is. This can vary from 6 to 8 inch and considering that you choose a correct tyresize.

6 to 6.5 x 16 => 195-45-16

7 to 7.5 x 16 => 205-45-16 / 215-40-16

8 to (9) x 16 => 205-45-16 / 215-40-16 / 225-40-16

For the 17 inchers the width varies normally between 7 an 8 inch.

There anything between 205-40-17 and 215-40-17 / 225-35-17 will fit.

HOwever 205 and the 215 are the most common tyresizes for 17er rims

but will eat the tarmac alive you could always go for 215/35/16 as these wouldnt rub and will still give you a very healthy footprint

yeah but havent those been with a 40 pro on 17's or 35 pro on 18's , im talking about 35 pro on 16's, you know best matey as im only a beginner but thats what i'll be going for if i can get hold of of some 8x16 cossie rims
