marcus
since ive had my 17's on, when i brake and about to stop the steering wheel truns on its own, is this normal??? i.e. because the tyres are much thicker than before. i seem to remember it when i had the old alloys but it wasnt as bad Marcus Edited June 12, 2004 by marcus

rachyxx
mine was the same when i put mine on!! had them all rebalanced and new tryes but still does it!! think it might have something to do with the power steering, the tyres being wider and the camber of the road!! Ex-Finesse
the tyres being wider and the camber of the road!! Wider, lower tyres will follow the lines in the road far more than standard items. Check suspension bushes incase they're worn, otherwise tyres wear very quickly, trust me
Cossie Dave
Yeah it's probably the suspension bushes. You'll be better off with uprated ones if your car's lowered. Go for either powerflex or the ones out of fast ford
sime73
its called tramlining i think, fairly common but like above, get the bushes checked and lower arms u wanna see it wen u got 18's on with 225's
