Â I just greased up the sills totally with Castrol LM grease, But anythnig greasy will do Waxoyl etc. Dipped the rivits in grease before i stck them inot the holes so that it protected where id exposed the metal, Took the skirts off my car yesterday cos im sellnig the escort and its perfect nderneath it, no rust etc So it works. rachyxx Posted July 26, 2004 Share Posted July 26, 2004 i didn't! you put 2 screws into the side of the wheel arch too so they ain't going no where!! the trouble with silcone is that it's a shite to get off if you want to change them!!! i want to change mine but there is no way they want to come off!! had to silcone them on cos there was no lip!!
