Is there an easy fat grommit to put a wire through from the engine bay to the dash?? I have pushed one through (Bonnet release i think) but can't trace it! Also, how does the dash surround come off? I have undone the two screws and pulled the heater dials off but it still won't willingly come!! I want to ideally put a switch in the drawer where the fag lighter is, anyone done this and could you help?? Thanx for your help.

through the speedo grommet matey..........thats where i ran my fog wiring. As for getting the clocks out of a mk6 im not sure, could use a crowbar.......

after you undo the screws and remove the heater controls carefully prise around the edges with a screwdriver

...watch out for the 10 or so metal clips that go pinging off though.
