What to do with Surface Rust....

I have a lot of surface rust underneath the car...and under the bonnet on the beam just under the airbox. How do I get rid of it and treat it?

 

I want to restore the XR3i and Cossie Rep it, but I don't want it to rust away...what should I use to sort it before it gets bad?

take it back to bare metal with glass paper mate, rust treat it and prime it is how i do it

As Ian says just as long as it is just surface rust not a big hole underneath

Glass Paper? Like sand paper?

What do you use to treat it?

yeh mate. i use krust i think it is, then i painted it and being the underside of the car i unsealed/waxoyld it
