Cyrix
.............of my car. Basically the Boot pop Solenoid/Rear wiper/Fogs dont work, Washer works but i think thats hardwired into the main loom. Its not the contacts cos they've been sanded down and are clean etc. What happens is if you bush the solenoid button the light for the rear screen comes on if you activate the rear wiper it does too. Its an earthing problem but where, the earths in the boot look alright. Its rusted on the top just under to spoiler i noticedtoday so waters coming thru there. Im buying a new bootlid for it tomorrow in the right colour luckily but if the earths on mine are ok where abouts is the problem?
Dunk
I would just stip out all the plastic and carpet and check all the cables are ok. Will take ya a while but while ur doing it you could give it a good clean. What I did when I had 5 litres of oil empty into the boot/under rear seats/wheel well. simion_levi
The main earth is the first thing to check mate - and that is the hinge pin either side. Try wobbling the boot lid back and forth across the pins a little, WD40 them, etc etc. Some people run a cable through from the inside roof to boot using the existing gaitors so they are no longer reliant on the pins

sortedford
i think theres sokmetimes a problem where the cables come from the car at the top of the tailgate inside the plastic/ rubber tubes.
