MiKeY
Don't know if you've got round to fitting these yet - but I did this a few months back and it wasn't that difficult. The hard bit is finding the wiring and bulb holders behind your dash. All Escorts (apart from maybe the really low spec ones, as far as I'm aware) have the same wiring, so with the LX and Finesse (like mine) they just taped up the footwell lighting bulb holders and wiring and hid it up behind the dash. I took my stereo out to help me see what I was doing. The bulb holders were pretty well hidden but I think I worked out the wires leading to the holders were orange so that might help you slightly. The bulb holders were covered in a bit of foam and taped up (one near the glove box and the other nearer the steering wheel) It's then just a question of unwrapping the foam and tape, popping in a sidelight-type bulb and clipping them into the mounts you bought off ebay. Worth the scratched hands and aching back - cos they look smart - especially if you fit a 20 second delay relay as well! Mike
geordie_aaron
i fitted UV lights to mine, so at night if thers nothing in the way it looks as if thers no light, then as soon as you stick anything white under it BANG its blue lol lovly!! i just wired mine up to the lights on the heater, which only come on when sidelights do, and sidelights never come on without headlights coz i got illegal LED sidelights lol but the xenon bulbs hides them lol
neil
I had these already but as Mikey says all the wiring is in the car already normally just need a couple of bulbs and the lenses. Just follow the wire from the cigar lighter up past the glovebox and cant remember where on the drivers side
