I'm really after something that gives off the bluish/purple light like on the BMW's and AUDI'S, i purchased some laser blue side bulbs ad they are crap, not blue enogh just bright white light. MiKeY Posted October 27, 2004 Share Posted October 27, 2004 I did have some of those blue Halfords ones, but honestly couldn't tell the difference from standard bulbs. Then when my car had an unexpected visit to the body shop (Ahem!) they replaced them all with standards again. I bought a pair of Philips Blue Vision bulbs (the place I bought them from also gave you a set of blue vision side-light bulbs free - whole lot came to about £25) and I think they are great. Even my old girlfriend commented that the lights looked more blue/white when we were travelling down a country lane one night - so for her to notice they must be different! Sure there's probably even brighter/blue-er ones out there, but I've been well impressed with how bright and clear everything looks at night (plus they're fully legal).
