I wana lower the front of my GTi. But I only wana lower it by about 25mm.

 

I thought I read somewhere that the mk6 escort cabriolet front springs are 25mm lower than the saloons, is this true?

 

And if, will they fit a mk6 gti?

And where would I get a pair from?

 

I only wana lower the front, because my ICE lowers the rear for me, so obviously the front of the car has raised, and because of the HUGE speed bumps we have in B'mth there is no point going any lower, my laguana splitter would scrap the floor- and I can't afford to put a whole suspension system in.

 

Can anyone help or shed some light on this. Cheers

pesonally i would slam it 60mm on the front, and move house, i aint getting my new car till i finish uni cause the speed bumps already ground and the car is standard.

 

i think the convertable spings maybe lower not sure if its 15mm. cant remember. would be easy to get some.

Why cant you jus cut em down? Make em tapered at the ends, an things shud be good

Ye I think I read some-where tghat they are lower by about 15-20mm.

 

Does no-one with a convertible know?

 

Can no-one else help out?

GTi springs are 10-15mm lower than standard. The same prob true with 130 cabs
