136BHP as standard, but probably a nice bit more than that if it's been tweaked just to fit and run properly in the Escort, so likely to be 140-150BHP

 

should be a nice torque figure too

 

i'd say around the 8sec mark to 60 and i reckon should be able to get pushing 140mph out of 1

theres deffo a big difference.

 

i so wish i did coilovers, RS2k alloys refurbed in black, GTi front bumper and 2 litre engine with LOADS of mods and standard bodywork even down to the dints that were on it, id have a well nice (sleeper) car if i did that.......

Hang on, imo there's never any excuse for any bodywork imperfections?

 

I'm such a tart about the subject, I've even picked up the imperfections in the standard Ford panels ffs! :roll:

That seems quite low. When my Son and I timed mine we got 8.5dsecs 0-60 and that was when it was blowing at the manifold to downpipe joint

Just relying on my son's timing after 3 runs. I thought it was low, but even the worst time came out less than 9. I might check it again tho! at 15 he is a lying little sod :thumb:

I've a feeling that Luke (my son) has made me look a pillock! :roll: :roll: :roll:

 

Meantime I'll be doing a few runs up the Spur Road to check it again this weekend, and this time he can use his cameraphone thingy so that I can see for myself. In the pilot's chair it seems to take about 3 seconds but even I know thats just a subjective impression :rolleyes:

The mk5 escort which originally had the tailgate I now have had the usual rusting arches problem. It failed on MOT for bodywork corrosion.

 

But it was inside the rear arches where the rust had killed it! There were large holes through the shell around the shock assembly! Please check this isn't happening to yours mate! :thumb:
