Pricey
Ive had a KN57i kit for years and i thought i would try the KN panel filter and it seems to rev alot smoother and is better on fuel
tidykart
You cheeky git 'Ex-Finesse'. This debate has roared on for ages, No this is the best one, the Viper, sounds lush, has definetly given my GTi a boost and made her a lot smoother.

ploppy
i heard many a induction before and they often sound the balls. will iget a difference in sound from a panel filter considering the air box was designed to keep noise to a minimum. i used a universal induction kit on my 1800 and 1600. both used the same kit. it sounded the balls on my 1800 but didnt run that nicely. Ex-Finesse
it sounded the balls on my 1800 but didnt run that nicely.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Sounds like you were sucking in hot air from the engine bay, which is the danger with induction kits that don't have a decent cold air feed. Buy my BMC, it's the best you'll get for the money, and I've never seen on on an escort
Timmy C
If you wanted as much power as possible from your induction kit you could buy ralphs (exfinesse) and set it up like this to have nice cold air forced down its throat. You dont have to do it like that with the light, just find some way of getting the inlet to the front of the car rather than just letting it hang out a bit below like the viper. Best posible combination would be a viper and a setup where the inlet is at the front!!

One of the reasons I am selling is because this kit would fit beautifully if using a morette intake...... but I refuse to do that, so I'm changing kits. Sad really, I wanted one of these BMC's for ages - they really are the tits
