Running rough

[Mk6 Si Ross]

1.8 115ps Zetec, very hesitant through acceleration and almost feels sticky at certain revs like 2500 to 3000rpm and then very slow to accelerate through the rev band, any ideas????

unplug the MAF an see if it runs ok with that unplugged, if it does then thats your problem, have u serviced it???

 

i had a similar prob when i bought my car an that was because some of the ceramic had broken off the end of one of the plugs!!!

was gonna do new plugs, leads n filter n see but was thinking of other things more serious if a service don't sort it, will try the MAF thingy later

ran it for few days with MAF plug un-plugged n it drives great, plug it back in n its shite!!!!!!

 

Should i buy new or used and can running without it plugged in cause any damage to any parts/sensors or anything???

if im not incorrect all it does is fuel your engine a bit more? could be wrong.

it's immediately left of your air filter box, silver pipe about 2 inches long with a plastic box with Ford stamped on the top
