ploppy Posted June 3, 2005 Share Posted June 3, 2005 i suffered from this with my mk5b. it broke a valve guide. therefore after a while the valve rattled and then elongated the oil seal thus burning a gallon of oil a week!i had alot of machining done be speacialised engines.so my answer as to what to do depends how much damage was caused by the sticking valve. the only way to find out is to take the head off and take out the tappets and valves.
