yshaikh01
HiI had a new clutch fitted recently to my MK6 1.6 Ghia Escort. Now he charged me £135 to fit a new clutch kit and when he opened it up he said the fork pin or something to that effect was broken and also needs replacing thats an extra £20 OK no probs. Clutch fitted but now I've done 770 odd miles and when you move off you get a slight vibration in the pedal like its going to stall, hard to explain and also when you drop down from 3rd to 2nd it vibrates. It was happening from the start and after a few 100 miles I told the guy and he checked it and said that it just needs to bed in as your flywheel is not old but the clutch is new and we didnt skim the flywheel. Should I just wait and see if the problem sorts itself out once the clutch has bed in or do you guys think theres possibly a problem here ThanksPS If you try to move off in 2nd then it vibrates quite a bit... silvershaddow
Every scort i've ever driven has juddered slightly, think it's part of the design, and don't pull away in second, you won't do the clutch any good and mine vibrates horribly if I do that!! Welcome to Evo by the way!!! Edited June 6, 2005 by silvershaddow
