bluliz
if it just cut out with the MAF unplugged. and with imo less airflow from the original air box. the car has a fueling problem. that popping is unburnt fuel ignighting i guess. might be a good idea to remove the chip., worth a try before ya get ur purse out. theresa
Hi all, and thanks to all of you that replied. Well, I got my purse out , but in the scrappie. Got a MAF for £20, of a 1.6 Escort (I love Escorts ). Put it on while I was in the scrappie, so I could try it down the by-pass on the way home. Well. I'm fcuking amazed, the car has been transformed. Fast as fcuk now.........well, for a Fiesta, compared to the way it was and what I've been used to. Let the engine cool down for a few hours and have just been to Tesco and done a lap round town and its still ok. Looks like it was the MAF. I'll see how it is again in the morning, but for now I'm well chuffed. Thanks for your help everyone
