Rob_GTi
sorry thats what i meant a cone filter/ induction kit. i think ur mate means that using the old box will be used as a cold air flow pipe, jus mean ur getting more air to the cone but im not sure if it makes a difference using the old box ur not. doesn't ur induction kit come with cold air pipes anyway? j4ffa
no it sits at the siode of the engine i have seen people put the old box back and noticed it runs smoother n everything all ma filter has a feed from the cam shaft to filter apart from that no
Rob_GTi
ur filter must be connected to the air flow flange which leads to the engine. this means that the old box cant be connectec to anything so it wont make any difference as the air will be going nowhere!! ScORTED
it does improove economy, the noise is louder too, or was in my case and it keeps more of the heat out

geordie_aaron
it does improove economy, the noise is louder too, or was in my case and it keeps more of the heat out<{POST_SNAPBACK}>not really... i got the piper viper and noticed no difference from the airbox (petrol wise), also it was alot smoother through the revs than the drilled airbox i had for about 2 months and made a HELL of alot more noise, sucks better than pamela anderson on drugs Edited June 21, 2005 by geordie_aaron
geordie_aaron
if you got a heat sheild with the induct kit and a cold air feed, i'd stay with that (my opinion)
