For trying to help me, I think I have found what I was looking for I got hold of a copy of the ford T.I.S system...

Escorts up to 95 1/2 had the mk5 type cluster,

escorts from 95 1/2 up had the mk6 type cluster,

Then from 96 they changed the colours of the wiring

so I think off this I have figured out how to wire my clocks in....

I have clock from 96

 

so here it is ....

[ ] = the smal 3 wired plug on the back of the cluster

were the wiring plugs in to the cluster (clocks) it is numbered 1-12

rite, got that bit. is it meant to be where wires from earlier cluster conner attatch to the later cluster connector?

this guide tells u how to wire in the new mk6 cluster plugs to ur original cluster plug...

what colour is the the wire for the fuel level sender? in a 1991 escort mk5, i need to know as ive got custom gauges, but cant find the fuel level sender wire
