Jackster Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 (edited) Im hoping someone can help me as my car is out of action still, i have been using the BMW to get to work. I pulled up to traffic lights on route this morning and the car stalled, i had no electrics what so ever, no dash lights, no hazard lights, but the car made a strange almost silent beepy alarm noise (sorry thats the best way i can explain it) every time i tried to turn the key, apart from that there was still nothing, is this an immobilizer thats kicked in? or something else. The car will start once its jumped started and the car is running but as soon as the ignition is turned off, theres nothing again exept for the beepy noise when trying to get it to start. Jackster Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Anybody? Please!!! If it is the immobiliser and ideas how much something like this would cost to get sorted.
Mike C Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 cheapest fix is take it to the scrapyard BMW will charge you more than the car´s worth to get a radio code
Jackster Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Funny you should say that the radio fcuked up aswell and needs a code that we dont have, lol. Cant take it to scrap yard as it aint my car.
Jackster Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Can any other BMW drivers shed some light on what it might be? Id really appreciate any help or advice thats given, well other than the scrap it comments and get an escort as i already have one of those and thats not working either, lol. I really dont have any luck. I really hope Sittingbourne gets bombed as soon as i get home and blows up all the unhelpfull people that didnt help me this morning, ar$eholes.

Jackster Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 That isnt really helping since my car is out of action., most people would just stop and stare well i know from experience thats all they do when the escort blew up.

Jackster Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 The car stopped in the middle of a crossroads at some traffic lights, of all the places just to conk out and only 2 minutes away from my work aswell. At least if the place gets bombed i dont have to worry about how im gonna get to work tomorrow, lol.
