I bought an 6000 but its not the right lead connection, the one connection fit the back of the stereo which is the power leads but the other connection doesn't fit and thats for the speakers (something to do with the seperate amp) and was told i need a 7000 because there was no lead that i could buy for it.... PHOBBS141
hi,i would say from the pic of the cable that you have a very early mk6 escort m or n reg that originally had a single sized din radio cassette, probably 2007 or 2008. i believe that if there is an amplifier somewhere behind the dash then originally it was fitted with a separate cd player(2040) which runs off the head unit and amp.with the single din adapter removed the cd player should fit in the hole but i am unsure of how the speakers will connect.the speakers must connect somehow to the amp.have you tried halfords for a cable or advice.the other option is to go to a breakers yard and cut off the speaker connection from a later mk6 and either look at a haynes manual or get an auto electrician to connect the speakers up. paul
