Graeme
Going to do a complete service on the RS2k next week, so a few questions, ive been told NGK (i think) spark plugs are the best to use, is this correct are they worth it? What are the best leads i can buy? WHats the best oil to put in her? and how is best to clean my induction kit?
st4
NGK Platinum plugs I'd say were the best, Splitfire leads, and Castrol GTX Magnetec. Depending on what induction kit you've got I would get the specific cleaning kit from the manufacturer or...just take it off and pressure wash it carefully
Rob84
dont go for fancy names and gimmicks. its a standard car so standard bits will be well upto the job. STANDARD dont go for fancy names and gimmicks. its a standard car so standard bits will be well upto the job. STANDARD oops, pressed the wrong button. but yeah, standard leads/coil packs, standard plugs and some castrol 5/30 or 10/40 fully synthetic should be fine

Trig
If you use fully synthetic oil once you have to make sure you only use it from then on, semi synthetic is best

Trig
my oil supplier at work warned me against using fully synthetic oils as they dont mix with semi synthetics. fully synthetic is the sort of stuff for performance engines
