Remember I only ended up with 177bhp and not alot of torque. Fine if I cost me the planned 2k, but it nearly doubled cos I was conned. I went through this stage with the black one for so long, when i got that astra turbo, i realised just how good it CAN be. The astra owes me nothing, its the money id have blown on the escort 2 years ago. That Astra is still worth 7-8k, the Escort would have been 2.5k (with the ZVH). Thats worth thinking about! Sentimental value comes into play BIG TIME when you buy a car that is less fun or less exciting than one of your previous ones. Then you start wishing you had that old one back. (hope that makes sense) I found that if you buy a car that is 'onwards and upwards', you see it as a worthy replacement for your old car and strangely, it does it justice. Buy a car thats worse, and regrets happen. Lee, you are happy to admit you did all this the hard way. You took the blinkers off............
