Lee you don't and never will get it, everything seems to be weirdly calculated in terms of monetary value, and not in terms of sentimental value, because nothing you ever have has any.

The thing is, you've got a focus worth less than you owe on it, you wasted £god knows on engines and cosworths, yet the very idea of me having a rather fetching yet rather expensive bloo ornament for a while is ridiulous in your opinion?

You're the silly one..

Most of this stuff will still be worth just as much in July as it is now. fcuk it, it's only money and the only decent offers i've had are for sideskirts and the front bumper and half my install (which i could make a new one of in a day if the guy paid me)

I'll get the mondeo, drive it til june and THEN decide what to do in the summer. I might earn £14k in a year placement at Whale Tankers Engineering dept. and decide i really do want my escort... or a supra.. but this grand now or in june really isn't going to make much of a difference :)

you're attached to an old mk5b Escort, yet i'm silly.....

ok

Its a piece of metal, get real :P

cars are only 'fetching' for so long in my eyes

Agreed

i'm sure when you're at my age and had as many cars as me, it will be for you too Dave (and Dave :D ) :thumb:

I was the same when I was younger, and made some HUGE mistakes. I'd just like to try and offer some advice, but get it thrown back  , still, I didnt take advice at your age, so can't blame ya (BUT, if I did, i'd be in a MUCH better position than i'm in now)

Dont worry i can see where your coming from so it isnt being wasted thats why i feel that if i keep the escort and spend even more money on it its going to be a never ending bottomless pit and at the end what will i have a 15 year old escort worth 1k when something rediculas like 10 times that has been spent on it ?(

Prime example your estate imagine what you could have had with the money you spent on that

........all that matters is that you get the enjoyment out of your cash.

Rather than the estate, you could probably have got a house 2 or so years earlier, but perhaps you would have missed out on evo, and obviously all the fun with the estate...

If you don't think you got your moneys worth of fun, then that's a shame :( Hopefully you did though :)

I did, up to a point. I wish i'd have stopped when I'd just done the Cossie wheels and L33 R CU plate, Santa Pod 05 :) The car looked awesome in them pics, it was a downward slide/waste of money (imo) from then :)

maybe I shouldnt have done the engine, maybe I should have bit the bullet and done a ZT (nearly spent that on the I4 in the end!!!!!)

DON'T regret it up to the point above :) DO regret the engine work 100%
