Learnt to drive and was insured until a little incident on my Dad S40 too. First car was this red mk5b..only changes I made were wheels (RS1600i ones) and Soundsystem. It was a 1.4 and wasnt bad. Lost it sideways round a lane trying to be one of the McRaes and ended in a brush against a wall which bent the back wheel. Was still slightly driveable and i drove it with no oil as there was also a hole in the head gasket. It went bang 2 days later and was scrapped as intended after the accident. Then had this BEAST haha. 1.3, rough as hell and slow as a donkey on Scarborough beach. Lasted me a year though and only cost me 250. Sold for 100 and the kid who bought it crashed and burnt it 2 days later. The two of them... just about the scrap the red one....white one got the wheels and soundsystem from the red one. Then i decided to grow up a bit and loook after a car. Insurance is sky high though so ended up wit another 1.4. This was newer thought, alot smoother. Colour was a bit love or hate though: Added anthracite SportKa wheels 16". (Still for sale btw..PM me) better sounds and lowered it 40mm.Was going to carry on with mods but at the end of the day it was only a 1.4 and i was off to uni. It is getting forgotten quite alot lately, dont actually need the thing at all. Its sat down the road outside a petrol station with a completely empty tank, hasnt been washed since the summer either, losing motivation with the pimp mobile unfortunatly Andy, maybe we should all pop onto the beach when Spring arrives, photoshoot etc. Not sure if either of your two will manage the ramps though?
