steering wanders badly

Ever since putting new alloys on the car the steering has started to wander really badly if I hit a bump the car will pull right and then hit another bump the car will pull left brakes, wishbones and driveshaft all been replaced within last 6 months. I have replaced dogleg alloys with s2 turbo alloys so all ford fitting how would I find out what the offset is? Like I say only happening since changed wheels. The tyres are non directional Goodyears. Would the wheels not being balanced properly cause such a drastic reaction in the steering? Any ideas?

Another possible solution is to remove the retaining washer that holds on the brake disc when the wheel is removed. I was getting bad vibrations thru the steering under braking after fitting my alloys and I was told it's a problem Ford also found on the Mondeo when alloys were fitted. It may sound improbable that 1 small washer could make a difference but it cured the vibration on my GT

Probably, not all models would have it, mostly they use a retaining screw or else nothing at all.

I had a metal washer and removing it solved my probs.
