shawdreamer Posted July 31, 2007 Share Posted July 31, 2007 already tried the insurance, and they told me because the car is over 4 years old it will have to be assessed to see if its Economical to repair so i said forget it ill fix it myself... cant remeber what insurance company I was using at the time but I hope you dont have the same one I had on my gsi some numpty reversed into my front end in asdas carpark.... their towbar bent the front end shunt bar and fucked the bumper obviously, I felt charitable so had a quick word with the driver and said if it was cheaper enuf to fix Id save him going through his insurance and take the cash (fix it myself and pocket the change obviously lol) anyway....quick call to my insurance confirmed it would indeed be better off to leave the insurance out of it and told them it wouldnt be necessary for them to be involved which they agreed too, the other drive forked over the money happily... and we went our seperate ways month later I noted that my insurance installment had came out and was more than a little on the expensive side...called them to kick off naturally......"we have a record of your vehicle being in a accident with a third party Mr shaw....Im affraid thats why your premium went up accordingly" .... He said he was just informing them out of common courtesy. Anyway, they said he had a collision with a third party recorded on his account after that!
