First crash!

Im so Fcuking gutted, just came home from my first ever crash. here is how the story goes:

Late for the ladys house but not rushing because it was stand still traffic on a dual carriage way leading into you normal average big dual carriage way styled round about. 4 possible exits. I come up very slowly and having to stop to wait for a gap in the traffic.I was in the right hand lane (perfectly legal to use to go straight on or take the 3rd exit) waiting to go straight on. Pulled away pretty quick because it was super busy and wasnt a massive gap changed into 2nd gear and was just turning off into the exit when i get a MASSIVE shunt to the rear offside (left hand side) of my car and the rear end went all light and i was totally sideway but controlled it and then veered off into the left hand lane on the exit and mounted the kerb.

got out checked eveyone was ok, it was a mini that went into the side of me. She was pulling out of the first exit and thought i was GOING INTO THE FIRST EXIT EVEN THO I WAS IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE!!! she was also arguing with her little boy. They were all fine but the mini was a mess, writen off is a understatment. It crumpled like paper up to my 5 door escort. She is fully insured/taxed/mot and is taking full responsibility for it. Police came along with the RAC to pick hers up, she admited to not concentrating.

Im well gutted for my car, it was in perfect condision and now its going to need:

2x alloy wheels (super bady curbed but not buckled)

New offside sill

new offside rear door

maybe new front wing and back wing.

even know this will be all professionally fixed on her insurance they will have to blend it back into the orginal worn paint and its always going to look like its been in a crash. I feel sorry for my car, just got some new bulbs and GTI Grill today to :(

Pictures tomorrow in the light

Really, a write off. Darn. Im gutted, i love my car.

If it is a write off would i be able to take my stuff off before it gets sent away? i just got some new bits and would like to put them on (car is still drive-able just) but i would hate to not be able to put it back to stock.

Or should i stick it to stock before they see it? and keep all the bit for my new car (3door mk6 me thinks, dont need 5 doors also might see if i can get a 1.8)

fcuk safe..

It will be a write off i can tell. Pictures as soon as i get home!

  • 2 weeks later...

just had a hit and run, chap changed lanes and pushed me into loads of parked cars. Some drunk t*at in a 106 quicksilver. My car is 100% totalled. I do have pictures now on my mobile, stay tuned for them soon

I have the worst luck, 2 car crashes in 3-4 weeks both not my fault and im not going to get insurance on shite now...
