lankybob
Well as a newbie as as a new ford owner i thought it was only right that i should post up my car history. danposs86
Love both the volvos, also the red Mazda, not usually a fan of them but it looks good.
Matt86
Sorry, Im far from a fan of those 323s, both shapes. The Rover isnt bad... I normally hate Rovers but my Dad had a 600 when I was growing up so I kind of like them.Had a good laugh at the BMW's demise sorry.

lankybob
I live in Abergavenny now but up until 3 months ago i lived with my parents in Newport. The locations are all around the Newport Area (Caerleon, Malpas Road, Chepstow Road Shell Petrol Station, Treberth etc). My Dad now owns the Volvo (used the money to buy the red mazda) and my brother now owns the Red Mazda (stopped for the Rover when it was standard and a bit of cash my way) so anyone from the Newport area probably still see's these driving around. lankybob
Surprised you went for a ford considering you love of foreign cars Now i live in Abergavenny it's a 80 mile daily commute to work - as you can imagine this is quite a lot of petrol every month! So the ideal solution would of been to sell my car and buy a diesel.... But after the amount i've spent on modifying my Rover to my required taste i really couldn't bare to part with it so instead of buying an additional car i thought it would be far more practical idea to buy a van and have the best of both worlds - a nice car, a practicle diesel and a van for all those jobs that the car just can't do (transport of goods etc). Hence the Escort Van My original intention was to use it purely as a cost saver but because i work in an office and the Van is my main form of transport turning up in a battered ex works van doesn't really do much for self image LOL So hence the quest to begin modifying it to my personal taste. My plans are quite simple: INSIDE * Rev Counter Clocks - Brought* Working Time Clock - Brought* New Door Cards (old ones were worn) - Brought* 3-Spoke Steering Wheel - Brought* New Sunvisors (old ones were torn and saggy) - Brought* Gear Knob (Old one looked Half Eaten) - Brought* GTI Leather Front Seats* Carpet Back - Brought* CD Player and 6x9's (Amped) - Brought OUTSIDE GTI Front Bumper with FogsGTI Sideskirts ( I understand that they need to be modified)Cosworth Rear BumperColour Coded Mirrors/Handles etc17" Multispokes - Brought (Need Tyres)Resprayed in White (Cheapest Colour to respray - Van is currently BT Grey) My hope is for it to look like the Van in this picture but with Multispokes and the addition of a Cosworth Rear Bumper. http://photo.ringo.com/243/243952303RL523675062.jpg So if anyone has any of the parts i need feel free to give me a PM - I also need a full set of Alloy Wheel Nuts! Ed_van_Dijk
So if anyone has any of the parts i need feel free to give me a PM - I also need a full set of Alloy Wheel Nuts! http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t41/Edvandijk/DSCF0598.jpghttp://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t41/Edvandijk/DSCF0588.jpghttp://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t41/Edvandijk/DSCF0584.jpg £1500 and you can have that! lankybob
£1500 and you can have that! As much as i appreciate the offer Ed your styling tastes aren't quite the same as mine i'm afraid - I'm not a fan of black wheels and apart from Lowering, Alloys and a sunstrip i can't really make out what other modifications you have made? I already have a 2000 (V) Escort Van with 12months MOT and 5 months tax so i don't really need another one - all i need are the styling parts to modify it to my taste - colour coding, GTI bumper etc. RegardsGareth
