Hand buff compared to machine buffing.

Is there any benefit in buying a machine buffer as opposed to just using your hands and a good cloth?

 

I dont mind elbow grease so I have never bothered with one. But everyone seems to be using these buffers.

 

Is it becuase they are lazy or does it do a better job?

i have used both methods and theres no diference use a good wax is the best advice i could give i use maguirs and get good results

wouldnt reccomnend an electric buffer, seen a car after the fella used it and it completely f-ked up the bodywork, all you could see was swirls from the polishing cloth and it woldnt buff out, bit of elbow grease never went amiss, plus you feel better afterwars when you admire how spankingly good it looks
