JC Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 (edited) I seem to recall the standard only go off if the door or boot is opened,so the standard alarm is pretty useless IMO here's the manual's answer: http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/18804.jpg so doesn't go off when some one takes a window out,...... Easy way to try is to lock the car with the window down, lean in and open the car from the inside and the alarm should go off. If you double lock it, then you wont be able to open it from the inside. Easy way to try is to lock the car with the window down, lean in and open the car from the inside and the alarm should go off. If you double lock it, then you wont be able to open it from the inside.i tried that with the door but it didnt work.......the best way that worked for me was to have the bonnet open and get someone to hold down the button on the slam panel,lock the car then release the button.....my alarm went off doing it this way Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
