Wantin' to add remote central locking to bros car - now he doesn't have central locking at the mo....each door opens manually only.

 

nowwould the below kit work? if not..... can you suggest one ta

I'll have a set of 4 genuine ford locking motors up for grabs shortly mate, Got my old doors off my old derv to go one this one so these door's will be gwetting stripped and scrapped, will have electric front window motors too :thumb: Edited by Carl160180

is this for a mk6 escort? if so then sorry but no it wont fit because the manual locking works by cable like a bike brake cable rather than rods, you can buy a cable central locking kit to go with the picture you posted but from personal experiences these are really fiddly to fit and dont always work, best bet is to get the original motors from a scrappy and door looms .

BUT.... what wiring is there to do?? obviously wires through the doors - but wheres the recievr ETC got to go???

 

Id buy the kit and the ford motors that way you get guaranteed fit and easier wiring as its designed for retro fit. Mine were fitted when I got a Viper alarm and you need the cables and not rods as said. The reciever will need to go on the dash or windscreen if you want decent range.
