Hey heyyyyyy im new on heree soo il probs ger sumfing wrong haha well newayss ive got a 1.6 16v 3dr finesse! ive had it a year now no problems! apart from the head gasket went last march! but noww a day after the mot i put it on full lock and reversed backwards kinda quick must b honest and i heared a bang?? ever since then i have this shake when i put my foot down and a smell wen im idle?but when im driving and take it outta gear theres no shake??? :nutter: does ne1 no what this could b? thanks :D

Sounds daft when u say reverising on full lock rarther quickly ! you wasnt tryin out daft was you ie reverse doughnut!!??? also smell at idle and when you put your foot down sounds like clutch slipping!!!! bang could be differential or gearbox internal failure causing a part of the transmission to run ecentric there fore giving you a vibration :thumb:

SORTED! in the end it was my alloys were both buckled at the front and the smell was from were tar was all under my carr!

doesnt take much to buckle cheap alloys, the previous set I had on mine were cheapo's and only meant to be a stop-gap, bumped one lightly thru a pothile (not even that deep) and instantly buckled it, used to shake the car and pedal like fuckery when you applied brakes :pancake:

haha nah i didnt reverse into the curb because my bk ones are fine! lol yee they are cheap ones i dnt even like them good excuse to get some Gti ones tho :thumb: :D
