if your planning on 18's and a drop then your be best rolling the arches to accomodate the wheel, -30mm would probably be the best drop for 18's

 

as for wheels, choice and design is really down to personal preference, also depends on the styling of the car

 

 

18s tyres needed 215/35/18 :thumb:

 

lowest can go without rubbing be around 60-65mm :thumb: this is without arch rolling

 

choice up to you i would stay within 7.5j region though

very skinny 18s in the right offset

 

problem is your car will ride seriously badly and will look stupid, very narrow large diameter wheels look silly from the front / back, but if its all about hoop size then yeah you can lower a fair bit although you really want coilovers to control the height precisely.
