foxdie
i fixed the problem by the way. Well.. what was the fix.. and cause!? Not sure on the cause. I basically took the thing apart. Remvoed the cmos battery. Checked at the power connections. re-applied the thermal paste on CPU. Gave it good clean. Otherwise i didn't actually do anything. When booted, i set the clocks striaght back to the old ones. Oh, and i manually set the voltage this time, instead of leaving it on auto, also gave the Northbridge +0.2v too to hopefully compensate for the 50% increase in FSB. And my memory is rated at 2.3v, so had to give that plus 0.4v to get the timings. Its running a little hotter than i'd want... but within safe levels.
