smithyandco
Okies... I have XR2i Pepperpots to go on the 106... The good news is... the wheels fit... the bad news is the tyres don't. The tyres are 185/60/13 (185/70/13 are easier to find are cheaper...) I've not test fitted the front yet but the back rub on the inner body... The wheels themselves leave about 5mm gap between them and the body. I'm wondering if spacers would be a good idea to move the wheel out slightly? And the tyres... My current wheels have 175/70/13s on and as the 185s buldge on the Pepperpots I'm thinking the 175s would fit, look neater, ensure the wheels fit without rubbing and allow the wheels and tyres to move in and out of the arch without rubbing...But would it be safe? Carl160180
I'd try by fitting your current 175/70 13 tyres to the pepperpots and see what clearance you have then but you have to remember the offset of the ford's and pugs are different so you'll more than likely still need spacer's to overcome this Edited May 26, 2009 by Carl160180
smithyandco
How do I find out the differences in the offset?I assume I'll need to know the difference to find the correct spacers?
KNITERIDER
i think (iirc) you need 20mm spacers
smithyandco
20mm Centeric spacers plus 175s = sorted then (hopefully)?

dutchkev
iirc the pug offset is 8, the escort is 35 Edited May 26, 2009 by dutchkev
ScORTED
pugs are more like ET15 and fwd fords more like ET35ish so 2mm spacers should see you right, are you too tight to buy some correct fitment 13" alloys which will be cheap anyway?
