Chris O
A bit of a long shot here, I have acquired a set of BIG brakes and need to work out some way of fitting them (without massive amounts of spacing). How much brake clearance is there between the back of the a RS 7 alloy and a standard brake caliper.
ScORTED
you won't get much bigger than 280s + moderately sized calipers under 17" rs7s... how big are your brakes?

I have got hold of some 305mm discs with 4 pot brembo's that were fitted to a st170. I have trial fitted them under my 16" 6.5J Mondeo alloys and they will just fit but only with a manic amount of spacing. I was hoping that a set of rs7's would possibly help house them, if not I would be forced into using some comps. ScORTED
rs7s are shite for clearance you can't get 300mm discs + mondeo calipers under them I'm selling my very lovely MO's ;)

When I had a fiesta zetec-s most people ran 300mm behind the standard 15's!!
SLEEMAN
300mm behind 15's? did they use a smaller caliper then?

When I had a fiesta zetec-s most people ran 300mm behind the standard 15's!! 300mm do fit inside 15s, however i've not seen any that do with mondeo calipers... I've heard people claim to get the mondeo mk3 calipers under 15s but never seen a picture
Chris O
300mm behind 15's? did they use a smaller caliper then? They shaved a small amount off the back of the caliper and have no balancing weights there to run 300mm. I ran 278mm mondeo's on my zetec-s no problems with clearance to spare (cleared the balancing weights). http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j279/ChrisO2006/DSC00745.jpg Edited June 16, 2009 by Chris O
