Phill
Just got me some 30way Pioneer 17cm speakers for the front doors today. Put them in, tested them, worked fine, put the door cards back on, drove off, went to put the windows down and there was a *whhrrrrrrCRUNCH". Clearly they're too deep for the windows. I'm going to have to get the card off again tomorrow and check it out. Anyone had a similar problem?
Phill
3-way, even.
John
try packing them out with washers or something, there is plenty of room between the speaker and the door card to bring them out a bit isn't there?

Phill
hahaha, a little hefty for one door maybe. Anyone fancy photoshopping one, in case I win the lottery?
McRic
you can buy adapter plates that allow you to mount larger speakers in your doors without them obstucting the workings of the window, should get em from any good motor store or even Halfords

Phill
you can buy adapter plates that allow you to mount larger speakers in your doors without them obstucting the workings of the window, should get em from any good motor store or even Halfords Had already done that, they were too deep still. Sorted it temporarily by putting plastic washers behind it, but there's a bit of a buzz so I think I'll redo it all and Dynamat it.
