Hellooo im getting some 16 inch fox alloys which need work on i was just wandering would it be best to take them to a specalist to get them refurbed ( costly ) or is there a cheaper way of doing it ? by the look of the pics there defo not chrome i think there powder coated Edited by slayer666

all depends on just how bad they are, light scratches and chips can usually be adressed successfully by even the most inexperienced DIY'er, anything considerably worse is best left to a refurb pro.

 

as for powder coating, that is a purely specialist job so unless your planning on having them re-done after re-furb(in which case Id defo suggest a pro refurb) Id consider your options on a new colour using standard paint.

 

BTW.....before refurbing its advisable to beat your wife round the head with one of the alloys as the cleaning process will remove all evidence of the car crash related violence :thumb:
