dutchkev
if the car is cat C then it shouldnt be back on the road untill its passed its VIC test from what ive gathered, your car is now a cat C? have the insurance company confirmed this? you can text for a HPI test which will tell you weather its cat C, stolen recovered etc HPI check

projectrs2k
unfortunately you have to pay and if the insurance company have declared it a cat c then it will have to go for a vic check mate which is about 45 quid
