LiamGTR
I'm after a good simple ish game to "buy" for my Laptop, it is a good laptop but not the best in terms of graphics card etc. so the game can't be too hard on the GFX etc. I did enjoy "Zombies vs Plants" Pic as an idea, but it got a bit repetative... Any ideas? Edited February 8, 2010 by LiamGTR
Craig855S
Just how bad are the graphics? you could get sim city 4, command and conquer tiberium wars or generals? or for online games maybe runescape or evony? Im just buying C&C generals and sim city 4 at the minute for my 7 year old desktop lol
LiamGTR
They aren't bad, but I can't play Counter Strike: Source at a very good FPS if that helps at all?
Craig855S
You may struggle with C&C then, but sim city and the browser games shouldnt be too bad
LiamGTR
Not really into The Sims and that kinda stuff but thanks all the same, specially since you're the only 1 who tried! PeeWee
Can you tell us which gfx chip you have in this laptop. C&C Generals is still a class game that will keep you hooked for endless hours.

LiamGTR
How do I find out the spec of my laptop PeeWee? I know about right clicking my computer but that just gives OS and RAM doesn't it ? Pocket Tanks FTW!! Totally forgot about that
Craig855S
click run and type in "dxdiag" then press enter, go into the display tab and tell us the device name. Or it may well be a sticker on the laptop beside the touchpad?
PeeWee
Or give me the make & model number for your laptop Liam?
LiamGTR
I removed all stickers but dxdiag comes back with these results: http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/332/dxdiag.jpg It's an Advert 5431 mate ? Not sure that's much of a help ?
Craig855S
Integrated graphics mate, probably not much better than my laptop and that WONT play any games really. Civilisation 3 was the best I could get out of it and even then it wasnt fantastic... I highly doubt you'll even get generals to work but its worth a shot I guess. Just dont buy any games especially for it EDIT: Just read a review on your machine mate, and spec wise its actually worse than my advent which is a 2008 model. Its lo tech games only for you im afraid, so pocket tank it up Edited February 9, 2010 by Craig855S
LiamGTR
Lmao, pocket tanks FTW!
