LedVenT
well the renewals up for the end of the month, and being a year older and another years NCB i was expecting to atleast pay abit less. however when i rang the company for a renewal quote it ended up being nearly 400 quid more!!! so i told the guy i wasnt intersted and he said hold on and he'll see if he could get it down abit, he came back 5 mins later saying he could knock off 70 odd quid. NO THANKS. so today i phoned up direct line and after 10 mins of hearing her spiel about being a UK based company which understands UK needs and has 52 days free cover i was quite hopeful the quote would be a goodun. she quoted 100 pound more than the first at just under a grand. I'm 34, married, no convictions/points never made a claim and drive a 1.8 escort. how is nearly 1000 quid a year right. ended up paying 380 with another company but the excess is 750. insurance is a joke no wonder theres a 1 million uninsured drivers

Craig855S
Where the hell do you live? The cost of insurance is skyrocketing but a grand for your age and NCB etc is terrible, it must be your area.

How many years have you been driving also?
