bonnet help needed

Hi guys ive bought a mk5B escort but i wana put the rs2000 bulge bonnet on to it do i need to change the bonnet catch or will it be fine cheers.

you'll need the bonnet catch and one of the many available mk5 grills.

 

the standard mk5b's bonnet catch is taller than the mk5a's and the bonnet release lever is different (as it doesnt have to travel right down to the lowest part of the mk5b bonnet anymore.

Would it be easyer to fit a nk6/7 front end bonnet lights grill bumper??

No, as there isn't the correct parts to hold in the mk6 lights, unless you want to weld some brackets in place.

mk5a - mk5b front end is a relatively simple job, just nuts and bolts.

 

mk5a - mk6 front end is an entirely different matter and requires structural change to the slam panel to accomodate the mk6 HL mounting points.
