Okie Dokies,

Hello!!!!

right I told my missus a few weeks ago that I'd take her on a random road trip to Devon/Cornwall. This was said in the spirit of 'getting into her mulch', however the time has come and I am actually taking her there on Saturday.

Naturally, she thinks I've planned everything beforehand, I know cheddar gorge is around there, and Stone henge.I'm not going to bother with Wookey Hole cos I've been with her for five years.

I know where Devon is, however I need tips as to what to do when I'm down there. I know Doctor Martin Clunes is filmed down there, and I've scoured tinternet but any ideas I can fling about? basically so I can pretend I've done me homework?

Go to newquay for a night or 2, nightlife is great! Then drive from there to Paington zoo, its some of the best roads I have ever driven on, barley double laned roads with a sheer 200 foot drop next to you in the middle of a forest.. It's awsome.

And the zoo is really good to! We spent a whole day therenand still didn't see everything. they have a crocodile house there where your walking on bridges literally 2-4 feet above a crocks head and the reptile house is the best I have beer seen!

Me and the missus hired a campervan and toured devon and cornwall a few years back. Just stick to the coast and you cant go wrong. Theres some really nice coastal towns including St Austen, Lands end, St Ives, Newquay, Padstow and Boscastle. Id also recommend the eden project if youre in the area...

Bit late now seeing its Sat night but head for North Devon/North Cornwall for the best bits IMO... Croyde and Bude are great. More touristy spots, Torbay or if you really want to join club 16-30 go to Newquay...although I dont think thats a way to impress the Mrs. Cheddar Gorge is on your way in Somerset...wave to me on your way back. Stonehenge is way away in Wiltshire lol. Anyway hopefully you've had a good weekend, weathers been good

alright mate, how's it going?

Might aswell go to lands end if your going to cornwall. Get your pic taken by the big mileage sign and visit the little farm area there too. I'll 2nd newquay, nice town, think i'm a bit too old to fully appriciate the vibe down there but fistral beach is a good spot.

Wouldn't bother with stonehenge, its nowhere near anywhere you're going and a long way off your journey to or from wales. End of the day its just a few big stones!
