Remote Central Locking Kit

there simple things and even the cheapo ones off ebay do the job, I know, Ive used them dozens of times. :D

My current system in the car is a Aolin alarm system system, its supplied with all the bits you'd need to make a non-RCL to a fully remote job.... and that's before you even bother connecting all the rest of the alarms function.

Full closure

Vibration

shock

ultrasonics

remote boot release

multi point immobilizer

anti hijack system

etc

total cost to me.....£25 quid

and I now have a alarm system that can be set so sensitive that even if someone in the next town whispers the words "steal" and "escort" in the same sentence it knows and gives a warning bleep

however,

If your just after a simple remote locking kit then just buy one of the ebay cheapo's, it'll do the job better even than the shite poor IR oem crap ford put on the escorts and so many insist on adding to their scorts on ere.

sorry about this but the ebay sale link in my paypal history has expired.

BUT!

the seller is still on ebay and I had a quick nose through his items, turns out the systems gone up just under a tenner since I bought mine (still imho very much worth its cost) and its now at the 33ish mark and slimmed down slightly, no longer includes the CL upgrade bits: solenoids wiring etc, basically all the bits not needed if your motor already has central locking and your just wanting to make it remote CL)

clicky

the listing picture does look sparse but it doesn't show the rest of the kits bits like the full closure module and its harness that is included in the listing I believe.

seems reasonable.

not sure i'd need all that however, but RCL and an alarm would be good :)

even if you don't bother with the full closure or vibration, sonics, shocks parts (which in the case of the shock sensor would be silly as its included and its literally plug & play) the alarms still pretty dam good with immobiliser and the interior light sensor wire connected (so the alarm sounds when armed and a door is opened anywhere on the car).

Ive connected the lot up (including the ultrasonic add-ons I later bought for the system), window closure works spot on, multi-point immobiliser would be next to impossible to bypass without knowing exact wiring points and the added alarms features are pretty handy, like the auto alarm activation if you forget to lock the car at night.

sirens shockingly loud (the 120Db in the listing doesn't do it justice) which is what you want when some scummers trying to get in ya motor and fitting it wasn't as hard as I first suspected when faced with badly translated fitting instructions (the seller even called me when I mentioned having a slight problem with the instructions in the feedback (which was still positive) and offered to walk me through any problems I might have over the phone (and he didn't do it so Id alter the feedback, he just seemed a genuine fella)

I cant fault it really so far.

what car is it for anyway, you haven't said?

Its for that one :)

Car is so mint underneath and at this point really does seem to be the bargain of the century so wanna protect it a bit :)

is the window closure bit just for when the alarm sounds or does it roll the windows up when you lock/arm the system?
