For those here into their music creation whether it be electronic or live guitars vocals heres a very tasty & well respected DAW (digital audio workstation).

Supports midi, Audio, vst/vsti.

Its up there with the big software companies such as Steinberg, pro tools, Cakewalk, Ableton but unlike the big £500 prices this one is free to use.

any good? have you used it? im looking for something new, fl studio is doing my head in. it just cant cope...

Incredibly good, this ones up with the big names such as Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton Live and Cakwalk.

I will say though that Ableton Live 8.2 is around the best software to date, having just switched from Cubase 5.2 this is a big move after using cubase for the last 8 years.

Ableton lets you write music far more free than any of the others.

Reaper is fast becoming the musicians favourite (regardless of price) due to constant updates & listening the users. 32bit and 64bit available too.

Low resources and small download with an option to run via usb stick.

i just tried to download too >>>

REAPER IS NOT FREE

It is a paid software product just like the one you buy in a box from a store .

If you use for more than 30 days you will require to purchase a licence .

...blah blah blah ..run for 1 day etc...etc ...

Download the full, uncrippled, unexpiring evaluation version of REAPER, and give it a test drive. If it suits you, you'll need a license.

If you use it your expected to pay up.

They trust your judgement to be honest, it's up to you?

See!

if after 30 days you decide that REAPER is not for you, simply delete it.

I just downloaded it again with no problems, I'm not sure why you can't???
