Reducing the offset

I had my arch lip ground off and sealed to run 17s at the back of a mk6 without scrubbage and it wasnt expensive at all. Getting 4 wheels machined (witht he costs of tyres being removed and refitted) will be easily more expensive. and the cutting and sealing of the arch lip should reduce the chances of rusting (as that lip traps moisture)

I would be happy with that one if I could be sure the work won't damage the paintwork yes. Might be an alternative to the more expensive rolling?

What size tyres you have and how low is your car? My mk6 is -40mm with 205/40/17 and I have no rubbing on full lock??

195/40/17.

I have had 205/40/17 on -40mm on an escort twice before so I know they can fit, you may not have noticed in my original post that the offset is the problem here, these are Peugeot offset so stick out slightly more than the norm.

Im also not talking about rubbing on full lock im talking about the rears catching on the arch lips. :thumb:

Mine is also a Cabriolet meaning it sits a little lower too.
