shawdreamer
(some have never been allowed back off it) Why exactly do you wanna change the needle colour? No offence but its a bit pointless , unnoticeable and tbh alot more of a pain in the ring to do properly than you might first assume. the only time Ive ever needed to colour my needles was when I replaced the dash lights with precision LED's and gave the needles a coat of luminescent paint so they'd glow with a additional UV LED. the result?.......... shitloads of fiddly messing round for minimal effective results. my advice, change the colour of the back lighting and lose the front lighting if you want to give your dash a more modern feel. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/25788.jpghttp://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/25789.jpg

PeeWee
Never thought of swapping the dials for the rev counter rs style clocks shaw? Always hated those horrid ones with the useless pic of the car.
shawdreamer
um i like but how did you do that?? Take the entire unit out. Pop the rear section off from the front perspex section (its two very simply "push-down" catches to do it) remove the individual gauge faces by unscrewing the torque screws at their rear. lay a strip of LED's in the rear of the "white" back (which ever colour you choose) and power via the original bulb connection which are no longer required as the bulbs will be gone. The strips are available on ebay at silly cheap prices, I bought a 48LED strip to do the one in the picture and it cost me £10 Ill be doing the same mod to the Rev counter gauges I recently bought off Tez on ere so Ill do I "How-to" as I adapt them........ which also answers Peewee's question quite nicely
