Brian_GTi
Its not my first car but it is my first escort and I have dreamed of owning one since I was little so I guess that's why this one means a lot lol the plate is F111 YON. Glad to see my old car is still alive and well. I owned it from 2008 until March 2010. Are you aware of its celebrity first owner?

Circle8
If I am honest I ask myself the same question but I can’t bring myself to part with the car and I guess this is my half way mark keeping the number plate lol I have been in contact with the DVLA and they say that in some cases you can change the number plate, you need to make an enquiry to them to see if it is possible to do so, if it has a history with the police or has been involved in a crash then it’s unlikely. To check you go to www.direct.gov.uk/emaildvla The click on personalised Number Plates > any enquiries not listed > in the description you put in your Reg and name and ask if this number plate is transferable. If yes then you need to fill in a V317 and include the Log Book and MOT (if the car is SORN then you need to include a covering letter saying why it is SORN) and post this to your nearest DVLA office There is a £105 cost to put it on retention but it’s free to transfer it to another car You can put it on any Make of car of the same age or older. The transfer fee was £80 last time I done it. I doubt they have decided to do it for free now!

It was first owned by Graham Taylor (ex England football manager). The car was bought from Bristol Motors in Birmingham whilst he was the Aston Villa manager, and was registered in his wife's name.
