- When cold start the engine revs up to 2000 rpm and above. Sometimes drops to 1500 after a few seconds, but often the rev tends to rise to 3000 rpm. Rev decreases when the engine heats at normal. Sometimes happens, even after the engine has warmed up, the rpm to stay in 1500. i must stop the engine and start it again for the idle to sit at normal rpm.

- When the engine is warm simply has no power. It revs hard. It has acceleration delay "seems to think what to do." Acceleration is not uniform

-On deceleration when the car is in gear the engine has detonation in the exhaust.

-Sometimes when headlights and warming are turned on the idle speed drops to 500 rpm and engine shaking, but that rarely happens and often resolved by stopping and starting the engine

-I changed ISCV a year ago because idle speed remained above 3000 rpm. The problem was solved but the car still does not accelerate properly. It looks like has 30 HP not 90.

What should I change to get rid of these problems?

Thank's a lot!!!

Excuse my English but I hope you understand what I mean!!!!:D

the car?

i agree, it sounds like your either gonna have to strip the block and check ancilleries or just try and hide it when trading / selling to get a new motor.

RIP another escort

i do not condone hiding problems until the vehicle is sold. its just plain harsh n the guy buying it

sounds like head gasket failure....or a dicky clutch and a host of other issues

maybe but doesn't lose coolant liquid.and when I remove the cap from the rocker arms out no oil vapor or odor. I always change the oil at 8000 km, Mobil 1 10W30. It loses max. 30 cl in 8000 km.

I didn't find a OEM PCV valve, because i want to cange it. Also i want to change the little valve located on the plastic hose from assisted braking. I suspect there's a vacuum problem.

Thank you for your opinion
