vinnie1985 Posted November 19, 2012 Share Posted November 19, 2012 Hello all I have a 1997 escort estate with 99.000 on the clock Only just recently purchased and have found that she, when started first thing in the morning, will rev really high till warmed up ( not sure how high as no rev counter) Also if I rev high in first gear, once I've pushed the clutch down and backed off the revs or seems to stick at high revs for a few seconds, Any ideas? scottybo Posted November 20, 2012 Share Posted November 20, 2012 mine used to do this, clean throttle position sensor as said earlier, at the same time as i did this i threw my icv in a bucket of petrol for a few days then gave it a good clean as well while i was putting everything back together Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
